Another "RED HOT" Nova from John Shrewsbury. This 1966 Nova is packed with a RODECK all aluminum 427ci and is stuffed with titanium rods, Wiseco pistons, and titanium valves. Toppping off this "Mighty Mouse Motor" is a handmade sheetmetal intake and a 1050 Willy's carb. Sending the fuel to the carb is a Sid Waterman "Big Red" billet drive belt drive pump from a hand built aluminum fuel cell with gauge. Keeping John's Nova cool is a Ron Davis handmade 2 row radiator and a Mezzler water pump. John's "chubby block" rests in a custom made subframe that is all tubular pro stock type with Strange struts and Eibach springs, John turns his "Novel Nova" with the help of a Pinto rack and pinion all designed and built by Mike Vallow(of Vallow Body and Chassis). The unwanted exhaust of the "Mouse Motor" are expelled through 1'7/8" Hooker headers routed through custom made 2'1/2" pipes that are hooked to Flowmaster mufflers.

Hooking all of this together is a TH 400 trans with a manual reverse valve body and a 4500 stall speed converter, then slid into that is a Coleman HD aluminum driveshaft. The Alston 9" rearend is painted to match the car and is loaded with Strange Axles and a Detroit Locker gear and billet calipers all the way around the car for great stopping power,as the rocking and rolling of John's Nova are on Weld Aluma-Star wheels

The mile red paint on John's Nova was applied by Mike "00" Ehrhardt(of Kurts Auto Body)and the "RED HOT" flames were sprayed flawlessly by John Wargo(of The Custom Shop),and topping off John's Nova are aluminum pieces made for him by J&B Microfinish.

John has done really well with his Nova. Winning Grand Champion Nova at the Nova Nationals, and also winning 2nd place and "Best Street Driven Vehicle" at the 38th Annual Chicago World of Wheels.
